Britt-Ingrid, born 1938, is an artist and sculptor. She studied at Konstfackskolan in 1966. She works mainly with sculptures in bronze and concrete with strong social commitment.
Britt-Ingrid Persson BIP is one of Sweden's foremost living sculptors represented at Moderna Museet, Nationalmuseum. She has had exhibitions since 1966 at, among others at Nylera, Stockholm 1966. Röhsska Museum, Gothenburg 1967, 1968. »Erotic art«, Lund 1968. »Fata Morgana«, Gothenburg 1968. Minneapolis 1968. Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam 1968. Stuttgart 1969. London 1972. »The Power of the Wind«, travelling exhibition 1975–85. »Sweden yesterday and today«, travelling exhibition Eastern States, Greece, Spain, Portugal 1979–81 and thereafter mostly in Sweden.
