Mats is a sculptor living i Stockholm well known and appreciated with several monumental scupltures  spread all around Sweden and during 2024 represented with his Iron Figures bat Pilane Sculpture Parc. His own words i "I am a sculptor who works broadly, process oriented and investigates spaces, relationships, forces and the outside. I work in many materials, but preferably in wood. I take the tasks I am presented with very seriously and try to leave an impression that is remembered"

He started his career as a sculptor already working at Herman Bergman Foundry in 1967 and finished his studies atv Kontsfack in 1972. He rarely names his work to keep the imagination free and not to set boundaries.
